When She Looked

Kate Lee

What's always interesting to me is how collaborative performance is, even when doing it on your own. How each layer is a relationship - be it with space, action, sound, text, frame, technology, time, others. And how we create meaning when we put these things together.

I am still exploring the piece I wrote about footsteps. This one is called 'When She Looked'

When her eyes adjusted She bent toward the window and dared those eyes to see her own. But when she looked through the glass nothing was there. It was empty. Her heart faded And she turned to bed.
